Some activations go beyond marketing. In Vienna, cip marketing partnered with adidas, the City of Vienna and graffiti agency Concrete.at to transform an ordinary football cage into a landmark for young athletes - and a tribute to one of Austria's greatest sporting heroes, David Alaba.

The Challenge

Inspire young sporting talent, honor David Alaba's extraordinary career, and create a meaningful community space - all through a single activation. The event needed genuine cultural credibility, national media reach and a lasting physical legacy in one of Vienna's neighborhoods.

Our Approach

  • Full concept development and end-to-end event management for the cage redesign and opening
  • Collaboration with graffiti agency Concrete.at for the oversized Alaba tribute mural
  • Opening event attracting hundreds of fans, young athletes and national TV and press
  • A match between David Alaba, friends and a selection from the Caritas Cage League
  • DJ set by DJ Jeezy and autograph session with Alaba completing the celebration
  • The cage handed over as a permanent community space for young sports enthusiasts

The Results

  • National TV and press coverage of the opening event
